Lori Schofield at Atco Raceway

Lori Schofield, our Inventory Control Administrator at the Voorhees Branch, recently took part in a drag race at Atco Raceway in Atco, NJ. For the first time racing in 9 years, she made three solid passes in her 1969 AMC AMX drag race car. The fastest the car has gone was 119 mph and has completed a quarter mile in 11.32 seconds. She and her fiance Wayne have owned the car for 11 years and also own a 1970 AMC AMX show car which they take to local shows and have won the “People’s Choice” award on numerous occasions. Lori is looking forward to getting back in the driver’s seat and beating her fiance’s record time. As of November 3, the car has set a new record run of 11.13 sceonds in a quarter miles at 119 miles per hour.
