Miracles at Christmas
The Hale Trailer family is Growing! With triple doubles!
We are so blessed to announce the arrivals of seven babies in 3 families at Hale Trailer.
Hale employee, Jason Eide, inventory control in Portland, and his wife Jenea welcomed identical twin daughters, Jazmine and Julianna, on November 21st, 2016. Jazmine was 4 lbs. 2 oz and 17 ¼ inches long. Julianna was 4 lbs. 2oz. and 17 ¾ inches long. Both Jazmine and Julianna are both very lucky to have 2 older brothers, Jayden and Jonathan to help take care of them! We wish a double congrats to the Eide Family.
Our next employee, Adam Rogers, Service Technician in Voorhees, and his wife Christina, welcomed fraternal twins Michayla and Roman on May 9, 2016. Michayla was 6 lbs 9 oz. 19 inches long, and Roman was 6 lbs 10 oz. 20 inches long. Michayla is older by 1 minute. Andrew, Adam and Christina’s 5 year old son, loves being a BIG BROTHER! Wishing double the joy for the Rogers Family!
And our first twins of 2016 were welcomed by Kelly Hale-McBride and her husband Scott McBride, the Director of Facilities in Voorhees. Last year, October 3, 2015 Scott and Kelly welcomed their first child, Liam to the family. Liam was 6lbs 12 oz. when he was born. Many prayers were answered, and on March 21, 2016 Delaney and Nora were born. Delaney was 2 lbs 12 oz, and Nora was 2 lbs. 15 oz. They spent the first few months at Virtua Hospital. The girls are doing great, and growing so fast! You could call the McBride babies “the Irish triplets”. Wishing triple the happiness for the McBride family!
We are so happy to announce the growing Hale Trailer families!
Hazel Hears A Who
Elkton branch manager, Ryan Emerick, and his wife, Cathrin, witnessed a joyous moment in their daughter’s life. The Emerick’s 4 year old daughter Hazel, was born deaf. This past weekend, Hazel was fitted for hearing aids at the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children. Hazel got the opportunity to hear for the very first time! Hazel experienced the sounds of footsteps, birds, the ocean, and even the voices of her family! We are all walking on sunshine with this great news!
A day at the Park
Hale employees Kelly Weindel, Rich Weindel and Jennifer Cuthbert spent the day celebrating the Phillie Phanatic’s 38th Birthday at Citizen’s Bank Park on April 17th, 2016. They were accompanied by Herb Musick, and little Phillie’s fans, William Weindel, and Jacob Musick! It was a beautiful day at Citizen’s Bank Park. Happy 38th Birthday to our favorite Phillie Phanatic!
Welcome Baby Weindel!
Hale Trailer congratulates Kelly and Rich, as they welcomed their son, William Charles Weindel, into the world on August 4th, 2015. We’re happy to see that Kelly and Rich wasted no time getting William established as a Philadelphia fan!
Hale Sponsors Student Ambassador
Hale was happy to help sponsor Dana Nelson, daughter of long-time Voorhees mechanic Dan Nelson, in her journey abroad to Europe. Dana (seen left meeting her host family) traveled to England, Italy, and France through People to People Student Ambassadors. The organization arranges travel opportunities for high-schoolers to go abroad and exchange cultural and educational values with fellow foreign students. Ciao, Dana!
Hale Supports “Bags of Books”
Alexa, now an 8th grader at Voorhees Middle School, started “Bags of Books” when she was just 10 years old. Over the past several years, Alexa has collected over 50,000 children’s books, which she since donated to The Bonsall School, The Nutter Center at University of Pennsylvania, Urban Promise of Camden, and many other schools and non-profit organizations. Hale has been honored to help Alexa in her endeavors to reach underprivileged students of Philadelphia. Over the past three years, Hale has provided transportation of Alexa’s books to Camden and West Philadelphia.
Historic Event at Hale’s Annual Golf Tournament
John Tolatta drives home a hole-in-one on the eighth tee of Little Mill Country Club.
This was John’s third time playing in the yearly Hale tradition.
Hale golfers should be on the look-out at next year’s event. Seems like they’ve got some major competition!
The Hale Trailer family is excited to announce that the fourth generation of Hale has arrived! B.J. and wife, Alexa, welcomed Carter Greyson into the world on August 1, 2013.
Like father, like son. Carter is getting his exposure to the trailer world early. He has already made appearances at Hale Trailer events. Pictured above left is new Grandpop, Barry Sr., and Carter at the Fontaine Roadshow. Above right is a flash back to Barry introducing B.J. to the trailer industry.
Even more special is four generations of the Hale family together. Above is a beaming Great-Grandma, Carol, proud Grandpop, Barry, and new dad, B.J. sharing in the joy of Carter’s arrival.
Congratulations to B.J. and Alexa, as well as the rest of the Hale family. We are so happy that Carter is here!
Hale Trailer and Cianbro Corp have partnered together for a touching moment to honor Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT. A beautiful granite memorial, known as the “Rock of Angels,” was taken on a city tour through New England. The sculpture, which weighs 20,000 lbs., memorializes the children lost in the Sandy Hook tragedy. Hale Portland branch provided the flatbed while Cianbro corp provided the transporation. The “Rock of Angels” will be permanently placed at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Newtown.
Now Batting… HR Derby Champion, Cole Hertzler!
Ashley Hertzler (Allentown Admin) and her husband, Troy, have quite the reason to be proud parents! Their ten-year-old son, Cole, competed in the Phillies Home Run Derby at Citizens Bank Park and won! Cole competed for the title among over 2,500 boys his age and came out the champion. Prior to the Phillies game Cole was awarded his trophy from Erik Kratz, Phillies catcher. Cole can add to his collection a signed Carlos Ruiz baseball and a signed Erik Kratz picture. Hale congratulates Cole on this awesome achievement!
Welcome Natalie Elizabeth Fol!
Hale would like to congratulate Ryan Fol (Springfield Rentals/Sales) and his wife, Melissa, on the birth of their daughter.
Natalie was born August 27th at 6:17 pm and came in weighing 8.1 lbs at 20.5″ long. Both mother and daughter are doing well. Wishing Ryan and Melissa happiness as they bring home their new bundle of joy!
Over 132 Years of Service!
Hale Trailer’s Allentown branch enjoyed some fun and fellowship at local restaurant, The Stoned Crab, on Thursday, January 24 as they bid three loyal employees farewell. The retirement dinner honored Rich Leiby, 41 years, Marcia Benfer, 45 years, and Doug Kistler, 46 years. These three outstanding workers faithfully served both the Allentown Brake & Wheel & Hale organizations for over 132 years!
Life’s just beginning, enjoy the golden years!
Hale Congratulates their “20 Plus” Employees!
Hale Voorhees took some time out of their annual Safety Awards luncheon to congratulate and thank several employees who have been with the company for over twenty years.
Pictured above from left to right: controller Hugh Cunningham with Hale 20 years, rental manager Ira Eckstein also 20 years, rental/salesman Ray Jones with Hale 25 years, EVP Dave Tomasello at 24 years, and mechanic Bob Baker with Hale for 25 years.
Hale Trailer is excited to congratulate the newly-wed Kelly Hanafy and Rich Weindel!
Kelly, an administrative assistant in our Voorhees branch, said “I do” on September 15th at the Chapel in the Woods in Medford Lakes, NJ. A reception hosting their closest friends and family, including many Hale employees, was held at the Collingswood Community Center. Kelly and Rich have been together for six years and the wedding was a long-anticipated celebration. The couple commenced what is sure to be a lifetime of love by honeymooning in England. We happily welcome Kelly back and wish her and Rich all the best!
Hale Trailer proudly and respectfully honors the life of C. Elmer Carter Jr., uncle to Facilities Manager, Dan Carter, and his wife, Joyce Carter, who works in rental admin. Elmer, age 102, went to be with his Lord on November 22nd of this year.
Elmer was a veteran of World War II, having served with distinction as Regimental Sergeant in the U.S. Army. Elmer was under the command of well-known generals Patton, Eisenhower, Bradley, and Clark. His service earned him six Battle Stars for participation in the battles of North Africa, Sicily, Naples, Rome, the Po Valley, and the Northern Apennines.
Though Elmer’s name may not be written in history books like the names of the famous generals he served under, Elmer is recognized as a true patriot and selfless hero here at Hale.
Though we may have lost his physical presence, Elmer’s legacy continues in the hearts of his loved ones and all those he touched throughout his heroic life.
Thank you to Wiley Mission for providing the below article highlighting Elmer’s life:
Chris Hill Elected as Allied Chairman for NCTA

Congratulations, Chris, on your appointment. To read more about Hale’s ongoing relationship with the NCTA, click HERE.
Welcome Brendan Kevin Zwick!
Hale Trailer would like to congratulate Scranton General Manager, Kevin Zwick, on the latest addition to the Zwick family. Kevin and wife Colleen welcomed baby Brendan into their family on the fourth of July – an extra special reason to celebrate Independence Day! Brendan joins his older sister, Julia, who is three years old and loves giving her new brother kisses whenever she can. Brendan came in weighting 7lbs and 12 oz at 20” long. But dad says that his son’s arms and feet are very large for a newborn – “I’m hoping he will either play shortstop or wide receiver someday!” We’re thinking Pirates or Steelers.
Welcome to the family Logan!
Wayne Sierocinski and his wife, Donna, recently welcomed a new addition to their family. Logan, who will be two at the end of July, has been in the Sierocinski’s care since he was only four days old. Wayne and Donna have been fostering many children for over nine years and were blessed when they were able to adopt Logan at the end of this April. Logan joins his two older sisters, Mary and Harley, both who are four years old.
Congratulations Nina Behringer!
Hale Trailer would like to congratulate Nina Behringer for her recent recognition by the Hamilton Young Marines as the Division 2 Adult Volunteer of the Year. The Hamilton Young Marines is a national non-profit organization for boys and girls ages eight through completion of high school. The program focuses on teaching the values of leadership, teamwork, and self-discipline. Nina has volunteered for Division 2 unit as Adjutant since February 2007. She is responsible for all of the community service scheduling, maintaining record of their Young Marines, and handling awards and recognitions within the division. Participation in the Hamilton Young Marines is a family affair for the Behringers. Nina’s son and daughter are both members and her husband is the Unit Commander. In addition to Nina’s recognition as Adult Volunteer of the Year, her daughter, McCall, was selected as the National Young Marine of the Year. The Behringer’s achievement within the division seems to be pouring out into their unit as well. When they first joined the Hamilton Young Marines, there were only 12 active kids on the roster. Now there are 60 boys and girls and the division was recognized as the 2012 National Unit of the Year!
The look of a new salesman after an ice-breaker sale!
Portland branch’s newest team member, Kyle MacDonald, earned his title as “salesman of the day” after he made his first trailer sale: a 2009 Cresent Open Top. Kyle is currently being exposed to all facets of the trailer business; however, his main role is in sales, which is not unfamiliar territory. Prior to working for Hale, Kyle sold furniture as well as worked as a licensed stock broker selling stocks, bonds, and insurance. His degree from St. Anselm College in Business and Economics provides him with a great foundation for being part of a sales team. Kyle grew up in Maine and dreamed of becoming a professional hockey player for the NHL team the Bruins. Though his dreams of playing professional hockey were put on the bench (for now!), Kyle scored at the grocery store when he randomly bumped (or was it a check?) into branch manager Gary Bangor. Kyle struck up a conversation and well… The rest is history! When he’s not busy wearing his “salesman of the day” hat, Kyle enjoys playing golf and following all of the Boston sports teams. Hale congratulates Kyle on the first of what is sure to be many sales!
